Be A Power Napper!
Grabbing a short nap can give you the lift you need to tackle the rest of your day both physically and mentally. And the perks don’t stop there. Studies show that a good night’s sleep can be very beneficial and can help to lower your risk for heart disease, repair cells, lift your mood and stamina and knock down stress to make you more productive. All this simply means you live longer, stay active and healthy.
Plan Your Power Nap
1) Set aside 30 minutes total….10 minutes to fall asleep and 20 inutes for the actual nap. Use an alarm.
2) Take off your shoes and get comfortable; try to nap in a reclined position on a couch or in your car (obviously when you are not driving); avoid direct sunlight.
3) Avoid napping past 3 pm. If you nap too late in the day, it can disrupt your night time sleep.
